Charity events are good places to meet various types of people. The atmosphere is usually friendly and networking opportunities are plenty (since a charity event usually attract a decent crowd). Painless networking

Just recently I found out about another interesting networking group in Chicagoland called PAINLESS NETWORKING. It includes over 400 people connected to sports and event marketing in Chicago. The members come from teams, brands, agencies, media and vendors.

Painless Networking Sessions are held approximately every 6 weeks and are a casual get together - no agendas, no fees no speakers. Just a way to meet solid people in and around the industry and network.

As a service to the PN group, a digest of job postings is sent out as they collect. Please, send any postings, list adds/changes, feedback and requests to join the group to Chris Hartweg

(This group doesn't have a website and all communication among the members is done via the e-mail above).
